Graspop Metal Meeting does not rebuild lineups, it reloads them. The 29th edition just dropped its first wave for June 18 to 21 in Dessel, and it is absurd.
Thursday opens with Limp Bizkit headlining the North Stage and Within Temptation ruling the South Stage for their 30th anniversary and tenth Graspop appearance. Oh, and Megadeth is there too, on the farewell tour. Casual.
Friday is the history books:
Twisted Sister headlining the North Stage on their 50th anniversary reunion, with Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, and Eddie Ojeda back together. Volbeat closes the South Stage with the new album God of Angels Trust, and Breaking Benjamin finally makes their Belgian debut.
Saturday goes full modern metal:
Bring Me The Horizon and Bad Omens topping the two main stages with Architects and BABYMETAL in support. Sunday closes with Sabaton, Def Leppard, Electric Callboy, and Alice Cooper.
Five stages, four days, Belgium. Tickets went on sale November 8 and the smart money bought early.
