Foo Fighters are playing to 1,250 people in Melbourne, and registration closes tonight

Two nights after a stadium show, Dave Grohl and crew squeeze into the new 1,250-capacity Crown LIVE. Registration ends tonight at 11:59pm AEDT.

Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters play stadiums now. Tens of thousands of people, night after night. So when they announced a one-night show for 1,250 people at the brand new Crown LIVE in Melbourne, my ears perked up.

Here is the wild part. They play Marvel Stadium on November 14, and two nights later they walk into a room where the farthest seat is about 25 meters from the stage. Same band, same week, completely different universe.

Grohl says the band gets fired up playing club-sized rooms after living on the biggest stages in the world. I believe him. Small rooms are where a great live band reminds you exactly why you fell for them in the first place.

Now the part that matters if you are reading this in Australia. This is not a normal ticket sale. Registration runs through Ticketmaster, and it closes tonight, October 12, at 11:59pm AEDT. One entry per person, two tickets max, 18 and up, prices from $199 to $499. Allocation winners get notified October 21.

If you are anywhere near Melbourne, this is the one to chase. Dave Grohl, close enough to see the setlist.
