Up the Irons, because the break is off. Iron Maiden were planning to take 2027 off from live shows. Planning. Past tense. The band just announced a surprise third and final leg of the Run For Your Lives tour, 16 North American shows in April and May 2027, and the artist presale starts today, October 19, at 10 a.m. local time. Today. Hope your coffee is strong.

Steve Harris says the band had so much fun on the last USA and Canada leg that they all had a chat and decided to hit the regions they missed, especially the Northwest and the Southeast. Florida, we are the Southeast. Tampa gets May 1 at Benchmark International Arena, and West Palm Beach gets May 2 at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre. Two Florida nights. I checked twice.

The run opens April 14 in Tacoma and closes with two festival headline sets, Sonic Temple in Columbus on May 14 and Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland on May 16. Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age open the headline dates, which makes this an all-British three-band bill, the first time Maiden has put one together since 1983. Some of these songs are older than half the crowd and twice as loud.
By the time this leg ends, Run For Your Lives will have played 107 shows to well over three million fans in 36 countries for the band's 50th anniversary. General on-sale is Friday, October 23 at 10 a.m. local. A band 50 years in adding dates because they are having too much fun is the best reason a tour ever got extended.
