Halloween weekend in Orlando has a main event, and it's not a haunted house line. Spooky Empire takes over the Hyatt Regency Orlando from October 30 to November 1, and this year the guest list reads like a film festival that wandered into a horror convention and decided to stay.

Start with the names. Susan Sarandon. Geena Davis. Juliette Lewis. Jamie Campbell Bower, who made a whole generation afraid of a grandfather clock. Jena Malone is there all weekend. Steve-O shows up Friday and Saturday, which means at least one panel is going off the rails in the best way.

That's the thing about Spooky Empire. It's a horror convention, a horror film festival, a tattoo festival, and a costume contest running at the same time in the same building, and every screening is part of the weekend. Panels all day, the vendor floor packed, fans in full costume treating the lobby like a runway. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so Saturday night at this show is going to be loud.
“Saturday night at this show is going to be loud.”
Moe Train

For Moe Train's Tracks, this one is about access. A room full of film people, horror people, and fans who show up ready to talk. Press credentials cover the full weekend, and the interview asks go out to the guests' own teams the way they should. In person, on camera, with the crowd noise in the background. That's the show at its best.

Spooky Empire runs October 30 to November 1, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, 9801 International Drive. Friday doors at 1 PM, Saturday and Sunday at 11 AM.
