Beabadoobee brought the guitars and the memes to Lollapalooza

Sixteen songs, three guitars, one Pylons Rule tank top. Beabadoobee's Lolla set was a career-spanning victory lap.

Beabadoobee played Lollapalooza on Sunday and treated it like a launch party. Because it basically was one.

Sixteen songs on the T:

Mobile Stage, spanning the whole career: Sun Has Set, 10:36, Apple Cider, I Wish I Was Stephen Malkmus, Take A Bite, the perfect pair, She Plays Bass, Beaches. Old favorites next to new Pylon singles, and the crowd knew every word of both.

The fourth album Pylon is on the horizon and she promoted it the only way she knows how. Three different guitars, bright pink, pastel blue, and a dented deep red. I Love Pylon stamped on the bass drum. A black tank top that just said Pylons Rule. Masterful, memed-out self-promotion.

Her headlining world tour started two days later. If Lolla was the warmup, the fall is going to be loud.
