Cancel your plans. All four of them. Foo Fighters are taking over Jimmy Kimmel Live for four straight nights, starting tonight, Monday, October 26, and running through Thursday, October 29 on ABC.

Four nights. Most bands get four minutes and a polite wave goodbye. These guys get the whole week. Dave Grohl also sits down for an interview on Monday night, so night one is a double shot: talk first, then volume.
The timing lines up perfect. The residency lands six months after their twelfth studio album, Your Favorite Toy, came out on April 24, and the band is right in the middle of a world tour behind it. A TV takeover in the middle of a world tour. Rest is clearly not on the merch table.

They have done this trick before, and they did it big. Back in October 2014 they set up shop on the Late Show with David Letterman for five nights around Sonic Highways, and instead of just playing their own songs they brought out the artists who raised them: Zac Brown for a cover of War Pigs, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart for Kick It Out, Tony Joe White for Polk Salad Annie. That is how you use a late night couch. You turn it into a family reunion with amplifiers.
Here is the wild stat: for all the times Grohl has popped up on Kimmel over the years, including guest hosting dressed as David Letterman for Halloween in 2017, the full band has only actually performed on the show three times before, in 2003, 2020, and 2021. Three times. This week doubles the count in four days.
So yes, I will be watching all four nights. You should be too. Set the reminder, charge the remote batteries, do what you have to do.
