You know a festival is operating on another level when the entrance has a six-meter statue of Ozzy Osbourne. French artist Philippe Pasqua built it, Sharon Osbourne thanked the festival for honoring him, and night one closed with a full Ozzy tribute complete with fireworks. That was Thursday. It only got louder from there.
Bring Me The Horizon headlined opening night and went full visual spectacle. Papa Roach had Jacoby Shaddix dragging the crowd around by sheer will, and he even brought his son on stage before tearing into Last Resort. Alice Cooper did what Alice Cooper does, this time with new guitarist Anna Cara folded into the triple-guitar attack. Deep Purple rolled out Highway Star, Black Night, and yes, Smoke On The Water.
Four days, 183 bands, six stages in Clisson. Iron Maiden celebrating 50 years, Limp Bizkit back on top of a European bill, and The Offspring closing it with a punk rock Sunday. And somewhere in France they are already planning the 20th edition for 2027. Start saving now.
