Ozzfest is coming back. The festival Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne launched in 1996 returns in 2027 with three one-day shows, promoted by Live Nation, with a lineup curated by Sharon Osbourne herself. Saturday, July 10 at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England. Saturday, September 11 at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California, the ground where Ozzfest launched in 1996. And Saturday, September 18 at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, the first Ozzfest ever held in Mexico. Full lineups arrive in the coming months.

This is the 30th anniversary of the first Ozzfest, the first edition since Ozzy's death on July 22, 2025, and the first since the last Ozzfest closed out 2018 on New Year's Eve at The Forum in Los Angeles. Ozzy's farewell show, Back to the Beginning, played Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5, 2025, weeks before he died, and the UK date was meant to be at Villa Park too. Continuing construction means the stadium will not be ready for live shows next summer, so the show moved to Milton Keynes. Sharon's call, in her own words: "The choice was to move Ozzfest or postpone it for another year." Andy Copping is working with her again on the UK show.
“Ozzfest built the American metal festival from scratch.”

Here is the part you can act on today. Sharon told Hits Daily Double the lineup is about half booked, and the hope is that the same artists play all three dates. Early presales open today, Friday, November 6, at 10 AM local time at each stop. Jack Osbourne laid out the shape of it on SiriusXM back in August: one-day shows, sticking to the festival's roots instead of going multi-day, and the old tradition intact, with a spot planned for at least one unsigned artist.
Ozzfest built the American metal festival from scratch. Slipknot, Disturbed, System of a Down, Korn, Rob Zombie, and Marilyn Manson all came through that pipeline, and every heavy festival running today is standing on ground Ozzfest broke. Sharon has always described her festival as summer camp, no jockeying for position, and she has said she wants to see Rob Halford there, which tells you exactly how she is building this card. A one-day Ozzfest with something to prove is a dangerous thing.
Lineup announcements roll out over the coming months, and the early talk already points at taking Ozzfest back on the road in 2028 if the demand shows up. It will. When the headliners drop, they will be right here, and if the last 30 years are any guide, at least one band on that poster is about to become your favorite band.
